FFM-Thai-Border Trip @ Tak - February 2025

Nine of us made the trip for Official Handing over Ceremony of New School cum Hostel building for Girls @ Kwe Ka Buang School (Refugee School), Maesot

Day 1: Singapore - Chiangmai - Lampang

we completed a mini Buddhist Pilgrimage @

BUDDHA'S PLACE, WAT CHONG KHAM, PHRA ARAM LUANG


Day 2: Wat Chong Kham Phra Aram Luang, Lampang - Ashokamuni Sangtham Foundation, Lampun - Maesot

We met Chao Khun (Luang Phor) Dhamm (founding Principal of Mahavajiralongkhorn Pali Theravada Rajavidyalaya (Royal

College)) and Phra MahaVera at Wat Chong Kham before proceeded to Ashokamuni Sangtham Foundation


Day 3: Maesot - Mae Salit

Official handing over ceremony of the new girls’ hostel cum classrooms building at the

"Kwae Krabong" Learning Center

The building was was supported by Luang Por Preeda Phabhatharo who bought 7 rai 2 ngan of land to build the school building and the FireFly Mission Singapore Foundation jointly donated money to build this building.

The total construction cost was approximately 7 million baht to help students who are in need and lack educational opportunities and to create wisdom and morality for people on earth with Kindness and compassion because we are Friends in the same word May this goodness spread to everyone and may they have only happiness forever

Construction began on May 19, 2024

Completion on November 29, 2024

In addition, few of our members and their families had donated rice, instant noodles, cooking oil and eggs that were distributed to more than 600 poor families in the locality.


Day 4: Mae Salid - Nin Kee - Ban Mae Ni - Mae Wa Luang - Chiangmai

we continued our journey to follow up with our projects at

- Nin Kee School - new and refurbished sanitary, & kitchen & dining

- Ban Mae Ni Child Development Centre - resurfacing of classrooms with tiles

- Mae Wa Luang School - new and refurbished sanitary

we also received new requests and appeals to repair or provide facilities - we will consult and discuss with Luang Por Preeda - hope to fulfil their wishes soon

we were treated with delicious lunch and coffee prepared by teachers and students at Ban Mae Wa Luang School. The life skills and holistic approach to education are very inspiring and encouraging
